Our History…
Macquarrie – proudly into its 76th year of operating
It was 1946 and two brothers, Sid and Alan Macquarrie, started a business selling ex WWII diesel engines and parts. Sid’s sons, Adrian and Russell, both mechanical engineers, later joined the business and its focus became more industrially diversified
7 branches up the East Coast of Australia provided truck dealerships (new and used truck sales, after market diesel engine parts), full service workshops, forestmill & debarker sales, parts and servicing, agricultural/irrigation pumps sales, parts and servicing and diesel engine management systems
74 years on and the business, although different and more technology focused, is still family owned and operated, now by the third generation of Macquarrie family
